︎ Product Development

Focused on bringing products from beginning (conception) to the end (production). Carrying a product through all phases of development to a successful launch. ︎ Concept Design & Ideation

The design process does not start at the physical product but rather at the problem that requires solving. Developing a solid product concept is crucial to a successful product. Even if it beautifully designed, without the correct systems and functionality in place, the product will not find any use.

︎ Prototyping

A huge step of the process. With a heavy background of working with hand processes as well as access to several 3D printers, CNC routers, laser-cutters, wood and metal tools, all prototyping needs are covered. Rappaport Design can deliver a proof-of-concept or final functioning prototype.

︎ Computer Aided Design (CAD)

Using the prototype, the product can quickly be I can produce a manufacture-ready 3D solid model of your next product. Utilizing Solidworks, a top-of-the-line, industry-level software, clients receive the highest quality results. With 10 years of CAD experience, the model will be built in the most effective manner, reducing cost and time. If I am designing your product from the ground up I will be taking into account the most effective manufacturing methods throughout the whole process.

︎ Design For Manufacture (DFM)

If the CAD is done by Rappaport Designs LLC, manufacturing is considered throughout the entire designs process. The tools, materials, and processes are all optimized for the manufacturing needs of your product. Although, sometimes you already have a model and would just like alterations made before or while being submitted to the manufacturer. I can make the necessary changes and advise on any potential problems that may arise. This process is very important to keep manufacturing prices low.

︎ Manufacture Drawings

Upon a completed manufacture-ready prototype, I can produce proper drawings following GD&T and ISO standards. Drawings are essential to ensure consistant and reliable parts from the manufacturer. They also create accountability if parts are not up-to-spec.

︎ Design Assesment & Feasibility Consulting

Can your product even be manufactured? Are the processes possible? Before wasting precious time and money, a consultation can save you investing heavily in an unachievable goal. I can provide estimates on the prototypes, the tools, materials and shed light on what may catch you off guard. We can dive into the concept of the design here as well, review if the product efficiently solves the problem it sets out to tackle. Through an initial consultation, we can identify risks early on and steer your product in a successful direction early on.

︎ Reverse Engineering

Do you have a product in mind and need a 3D CAD model made to replicate it? By using 3D scanning, precise measuring tools, and/or photographs, I can rebuild a product allowing modifications or additions to be made. Reverse engineering also can often be done simply by using images.

︎ Patent Drawings

Can make professional CAD based illustrations for design, utility/non-provisional and provisional patents. The benefit of using CAD models to develop patents means the illustrations are clear, proportional and 100% vector based. The drawings follow USPTO guidelines and international patent guidelines. The drawings come as PDF and are ready to file.
