The big red button.
2023-07-04The previous week saw little change after my last post. So many other life tasks and obligations came up. Although I had a great long hike and camp up to a hill tribe over the weekend.
Yesterday I felt completely dead from the weekend hike although was determined to make a new print with the changes I made last week; namely the big red button and the newly shaped hot end.
I ended up changing the pivot point and assembly steps for the big red button although was far too out of it to spend much thought on the design. In the end I altered it so it was printable and could be assembled but the button does not actually move yet. I got everything printed last night except for the shell which failed.
Today I printed the green shell and assembled the whole prototype. I am really liking how it looks… Aside from the 3D printed parts looking ugly and cheap. The big red button has a nice classic lighter look and the changed hot end removed the large metal surface.
